Yay for beanies!!!

My first order was beanies..and I am very proud of them!!!

As you can see we have a BROWN bear hat and a BLACK kitty hat...

Jayden just informed me... he needs a PEEDOE (blanket.. dont ask) lol So im assuming he is wanting me to make him one?!?! Oh goodness! 

Busy busy mama!

I started selling my stuff.... I guess I better update my blog (not that anyone really reads it!!!) lol

I make these CUTE little headband bows... they look silly on Kaityln cause she has thin invisible blonde hair! But  they are ADORABLE on me and my niece.

The last one is my fav because it is a different smoother yarn.. it makes the color pop!!!

This is what I created yesterday.. a toddler beret!!! Its Orchid.. and I am thinking of selling these... let me know if you would buy one if I did start to sell them... I just need feedback on how well they will go...

On the ball again!

I took a little bitty break from crocheting.. what with FINALS.. and going on the Atkins diet and learning to work out DAILY.. I needed to get things in order and under way before I sat down and CONCENTRATED.

                                                                  BUT

I am back!!! This week I should be getting yarn to finish those 3 blankets that I ran out of yarn for, I am working on the hat this very moment for a special Grandma of mine, and I am also eyeballing a hat that I might put up for sell... just cause I dont know anyone to make it for.. I just thinks its CUTE!

Anyways! Happy hookers !!! Ill be posting pics of the hat as soon as it is done... shouldnt take but a couple hours or a day(depending on how the kids act)

So while waiting to get more yarn to finish other projects previously started and almost done... I decided not to wait and started my blanket... just a peek

I have grand TADA moments coming soon! 2 Blankets that are a surprise are almost done! and Stephen... well his is going to be a little longer.. it is kind big.. and Jaydens.. his I do in spare time and when I am in the car... its easy to take with me... so be prepared!

Yarnage update!

I am officially a busy busy lady with lotso projects!!!!
1. a special project for someone (ALMOST DONE!!!)
2. another special project for a special baby coming soon (AS SOON as I get the yarn ill finish it)
3. DH double 3ply blanket
4. Hat for my Grandma
5. First attempt at a ripple blanket (for my lil man)
6. Trying to decide how to design MY blanket (have the yarn just not sure how to do it yet)
7. Linus Project 1! (Gotta get the yarn.. but actively planning in my head)

I am always crocheting in spare time! It gives me something to do.. everyone may make fun of me... but they sure dont seem to mind asking or receiving a blanket! So HUSH YOU MOUTHS .. do what your mama said.. IF YA AINT GOT NOTHING NICE TO SAY DONT SAY NOTHING AT ALL!

and the second I got part of the idea from a blanket i saw, and then I altered the pattern to fit what I am making. It is about 5.4 inches long and I call it Cafe Baby

Dishcloths

I knitted a dishcloth, and crocheted a dishcloth... I am not to fond of the color... but the hubby decided thats the color he wanted lol.

New years resolution? To late? I THINK NOT!

The Lord has put 1 word on my heart, CHARITY, what can I do for others....? Its hard to do a lot of things with the kids and school and no child care, so I searched, and searched, and today it hit me!

Doily Adventures!

Anyone who has done doilies knows these are pretty small... about 2-3 inches! But I was just 1. practicing, 2. experimenting with design and 3. experimenting with color... See I bought 1 ball of size 10 cotton, and a size 7 boye steel needle. I wanted to make a bookmark for a very special friend but I wanted to practice first, the first picture, I made that design up (just goofing around) and the second, I got from a lady who makes videos on the internet. Now how did I come up with the colors considering I only had 1 ball of yarn?!?!? Well food coloring and water make a big difference .. hehe.. (always thinking creative) ! My book mark was suppose to be blue, but! there was a little to much pink in the mix and the bottom turned purple... so its now multicolored, and the cross is a faint purple... cant wait to try something new... I am thinking of making a bookmark out of the start stitch, Who knows!!!! I want to try pineapples but I havent found a design I like.. any suggestions?

Wow its been awhile

So I havent updated in a couple days.. well maybe over a week.. but I have good reasons!!! I am making 2 blankets right now, and both I cant post pictures till im done cause they are presents! But one of them I looked at a pattern and made it my own ... and the other is basic but comfy! I also have been DOILY crazy! I made my first one today... like a coaster! I crocheted a flower coaster with some scrap yarn, as well as this thing.. idk what to call it.. but its like a coaster.. but not a coozie either.. hmmmm ... my next adventure will be making plarn.. and making dishclothes with plarn!!!!

My very first throw!

I made a throw for Stephen.. didnt take long at all, but it is kinda small, I warned him it was small.. but he said it was ok, its what he wanted!  He hasnt seen it yet lol .. It is Brown, tan, and red, and the seam is black, as well as the first chain around the squares is black.

Today was Kaitlyn Day!

I was suppose to be working on the adult earflap hat for my Stephen... BUT! I got distracted!!! BabyLeg Warmers! Matching bow! <--- still working on perfecting the bow! I forgot!! I made Jayden a play earflap hat (just testing the new needles...) but I cant get the pic to load :(

My Beret!

Im not a big beanie person.. HOWEVER... I always wanted to try a beret... (now dont pick,.. I havent done my hair today.. but!!! I couldnt wait to show off the beret I have been working on for 2 days)!!!! I plan on making Kaitlyn one HOPEFULLY lol we will see.. its gonna have to be freehanded... so we shall see!!!

Most definetly going to add another row next time, and longer strings.. why it only called for 20 st I HAVE NO CLUE!!!! BUT he loves it to death!!!!! I ran out of the ZEBRA yarn , so I couldnt go back and add a row.. but as long as my lil man loves it.. im happy!!!!

I have FINISHED the pot holder... I did it off of instinct (the border I mean). Its my first one.. Im quite proud... I also picked out the yarn for the hats for Kylee (our niece) and Kaitlyn.

Next... Jaydens black and white hat to match Stephens, I am thinking ear flaps with his ....hmmmm we shall see

Rosebud~~

It took me forever!!! But I got the rosebud done!! Ugh it was tricky!!!! Now to find something to put it on!!!! Hehe

I finished a flower!!

It took me like 30 min.. but I finally got the flower down~!! I decided to put it on Kaitlyns hat to make it more girly... Def. going to make her more... I think I will look at the rose lookin flower next!!!!! Or how about potholders!!!!! Woot woot~!

I have found my new hobby!!! CROCHETINIG!!! Some think its boring, however I LOVE it.... I will admit... IM ADDICTED!!!! I have many projects going at once because I get bored easily.. this way I have LOTS to do!!! I am going to use this blog to nothing but talk about my crocheting!!

Yesterday I free handed a headband with a heart on it for Kaitlyn, and a hat for her. The day before I made my very first anything.. a beanie for Stephen... YES I KNOW he looks funny in the picture.. he begged for the beanie.. but by the time it was done I had to wake him up to try it on at midnight!!! So he was tired and not really workin with me!!!!

Right now I am working on a Spider and Web throw, pot holders, and little hearts and flowers (still trying to master those~!)

We will see what comes up next!!!!
